how to hide assignments in google classroom as a student

As of my last knowledge update in January 2023, students in Google Classroom do not have the ability to hide assignments on their end. The visibility of assignments is usually controlled by the teacher or course administrator. However, if you want to organize your view of assignments or prioritize specific tasks, you can use the "Mark as Done" feature to indicate completion. Here's how you can mark an assignment as done:

  1. Go to Google Classroom:

    • Open Google Classroom and navigate to the class where you want to manage assignments.
  2. Locate the Assignment:

    • Find the assignment you want to mark as done in the "Classwork" or "To-Do" tab.
  3. Click on the Assignment:

    • Click on the assignment title to open its details.
  4. Mark as Done:

    • Within the assignment details, look for the "Mark as Done" button or a similar option. Click on it to indicate that you've completed the assignment.
  5. Review "Done" Assignments:

    • If you want to review or revisit your completed assignments, you can often find a "Done" or "Completed" section in the "Classwork" tab or a similar section in the interface.

It's important to note that marking an assignment as done on your end doesn't hide it from the teacher's view. Teachers can still see your submissions and track your progress.

Please be aware that Google Classroom features and interfaces may evolve, and there may be updates or changes after my last knowledge update. If you're unsure about specific functionalities, you can refer to the Google Classroom Help resources or contact your teacher for guidance based on the current version of the platform
